Engineering Mini-Camp for High School Girls
Girls in grades 9 -12 are invited to spend the day participating in hands on lab activities with volunteers from Widener’s School of Engineering and from the Philadelphia section of the Society of Women Engineers.
Laboratory sessions will include topics such as Roller Coaster Design, Tower Building, Bridge Design, Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, Water Treatment, Programmable Robots, Soils and Foundations, Electric-Powered Lego Vehicles, Reaction Kinetics, Aerodynamics and Flight, Pavement Design with Chocolate Asphalt, and Electric Sensors.

The David M. Rubenstein/ Economic Club of Washington D.C. Scholarship Application
The David M. Rubenstein/Economic Club of Washington, D.C. Scholarship program is designed to promote and encourage academic excellence for college-bound high school seniors attending District of Columbia public schools. The Economic Club scholarship provides an award of $10,000 to select DC students who have been nominated by participating public high schools.

The D.C. Opportunity Scholarship Program (OSP)
This scholarship provides scholarships to low-income families residing in the District of Columbia with expanded educational opportunities for their children. The OSP was created with the belief that when it comes to choosing a great school for their children, parents should have the freedom to decide the best learning option. Specifically, the OSP is geared towards providing the District’s children access to a quality education.
